NEW YORK LOVE STORY

a one minute shortfilm created as an entry to the Filmriot film contest

Story

New York Love Story is set in the 1980's and tells the tale of a serial killer that confesses to his crimes to the police over the payphone.

we see a woman on a date with a man, who we are lead to believe is the narrator.
The narrator describes the girl like in a diary entry , that turns more and more into a metaphor for Murder.
The story ends by revealing the killer to be a bystander , that was show to follow the girl earlier in the short film.

The Making of

The short was first storyboarded on paper and then illustrated with Photoshop using separate layers for animation. It was then Animated in Aftereffects with 3d layers and camera movements to bring the project to life .

Part of the contest was to use "Filmstro" to add music to the Project this was layered with voiceover and foley sounds to support the visuals in the best way.
The project was then cut and mixed in Premier.
