The Path

is an Semester Project based on the question of "What happens when we die?"

In this case we are not dead just yet we are stuck in the space between life and death.

You start at he foot of a Mountain with the goal to fight your way to the top to Get back to the land of the living.


Combat

As you make your way up the mountain you encounter lost souls that are out to take you to the underworld. 
You defend yourself with your sword and are able to block in coming attacks and even stagger enemies when you time it right. When you defeat them they drop valuable Armor that you can use to repairer yours if it was broken.


Alone these lost souls might not pose a threat but in a group they can quickly overwhelm you sending you right back to the last checkpoint. 
where you are given a random amount of armor to help you face the enemies that just sent you back.

These enemies get harder and harder the higher up you get.


The Boss Fight

When you get to the top of the mountain you find huge Lost soul guarding the way out, leaving you no choice but to fight him.

 


Learning the Pattern

you can dodge his attacks with a swift dodge roll, when he spews fire from his mouth and try hitting him from the back.

when he turns around be ready to block his melee attacks that can send you sliding backwards with its sheer force.  


Slow but Steady

if you are too slow or you forget to block his attacks you stumble back leaving you open for his next attacks.

Slowly you chip away from his armor that takes a couple hits to get off.

 


The End

as the last armor piece falls, so does its barer , leaving you free passage to return to the land of the living

Most of the world is made up out of the these asset.

They where made in Blender and all rely on Shaders and textures that are either hand drawn or made in Photoshop.
